Keep your professional driver qualification up to date. At IBF, you can complete periodic training under the German Professional Driver Qualification Act (BKrFQG).
Training comprises 35 units of 60 minutes, usually arranged in five sessions of seven units. You refresh your knowledge of safe and economical driving, regulations and safety at work. There is no final examination for this periodic training.
The course is for drivers subject to the BKrFQG who need to refresh their professional qualification. Periodic training is generally required every five years.
Whether you need initial qualification first or can take periodic training directly depends on your previous qualifications and the date you obtained your licence. We can explain your individual route.
Professional driver qualification is now generally documented by a driver qualification card (Fahrerqualifizierungsnachweis, FQN). Existing valid documents bearing code 95 remain valid for their applicable validity period.
Driving licence renewal and proof of professional qualification are separate processes. Check the expiry date of each document.
