After studying traffic engineering at Technische Universität Berlin, Mesut Türkmen founded Fahrschule Oktan in Berlin-Tempelhof in 2002.
The growing driving school expanded its training beyond cars to motorcycles, trucks and buses. It offered theory and practical instruction in German, English and Turkish, making international education an important part of its development.
In 2008, the business developed further into IBF GmbH and professional training, including an academy for driving instructors. Funded training also gave eligible education-voucher holders access to truck and bus driving courses.
Today, IBF combines driving licence training with professional qualification and continuing education. Mesut Türkmen also contributes his experience as a lecturer in driving instructor training.
